A loosely defined figure sweeps through layers of deep blue, turquoise, acid yellow, soft pink and flashes of vivid magenta. Bold, gestural marks give the piece an irresistible sense of rhythm — as though the figure has been captured for a fleeting moment before moving beyond the canvas.
There is confidence here, but also spontaneity and abandon. The surrounding layers feel alive with energy, allowing the figure to emerge and disappear amongst the colour and marks.
